Decca Gramophone – Decca London

Since 1920 and particularly after 1928, Decca was a leading manufacturer of portable gramophones.

In 1932 they became in the radio domain. During the second World war, Decca-Navigator has contributed to the success of the Normandy landings of 1944, and then the brand was known worldwide.

Most of their portable gramophone parts were imported from Switzerland (Paillard engines, for example, or tonearms, reproducers …et.) and were assembled to London.
