Blang Pidie or Blang Pidië is a sub-district in Southwest Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, Indonesia. Blangpidie is the capital of Southwest Aceh Regency. Blangpidie is in the southern part of the West Coast of Aceh, and is crossed by the highway connecting Banda Aceh – Medan, namely after Meulaboh and before Tapak Tuan. Blangpidie is also the birthplace of freedom fighter Teuku Ben Mahmud and the place where freedom fighter Teungku Peukan died and was buried.
