It is located in Bayram Sokak, Augustus Square. It is a stone-base, brick-walled, tile-roofed mosque. The mosque, whose plan is rectangular in length, rested on the wall of the Temple of Augustos in the east and the Hacıbayram Veli Tomb in the south. The narthex, which occupies more than half of the harem in the north and west, was added later. The minaret with a square stone base, a cylindrical brick body and two balconies rises on the southeast wall of the tomb. The outer lower windows are surrounded by pointed arched stone niches. The upper windows with plaster grids have pointed brick arches. At the last congregation place, also; rectangular intermediate windows. On the south-facing protrusion wall of the narthex, “Kelime-i Tawhid” is written in oil paint similar to a green glazed brick and in thuluth script. All embroideries painted on amide wood were made by Nakkaş Mustafa. The mosque was repaired in 1714 by Mehmet Baba, one of the grandsons of Haci Bayram-ı Veli. The mosque, which was first built between 1427 and 1428, has gained the character of Ankara mosques in the late 17th century and early 18th century with its ceiling, mihrab-pulpit decoration, tiles under the muezzin mahfil and ceiling construction. The repair book also shows this. Hacı Bayram Veli Mosque is one of the most important mosques of Ankara.
