Belves is a former French commune located in the Dordogne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. From 1790 to 2015, the town was the capital of a canton. It is part of the association Les Plus Beaux Villages de France. On January 1, 2016, it merged with Saint-Amand-de-Belves to form the new commune of Pays de Belves.
