Lake Ashi is a mountain lake situated some 2000 feet above sea level. The prehistoric lake is now part of the Five Lakes of Mt Fuji and a popular tourist attraction. Boats travel across the lake from the small town of Hakone to the numerous settlements and attractions dotted around the lake.
