Embark on a journey filled with breathtaking views painted by the hues of the sunset! Here, I present a unique perspective on the construction of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. This awe-inspiring suspension bridge, still in the process of completion, rises in the sky as a structure reaching into the future. The bridge is located between the districts of Lapseki and Gelibolu in Çanakkale, making it the first suspension bridge across the Çanakkale Strait and the fifth in the Marmara Region. A part of the Malkara-Çanakkale Highway, the bridge was inaugurated on March 18, 2022. Moreover, with a central span length of 2,023 meters, it surpasses Japan’s Akashi Kaikyō Bridge, making it the suspension bridge with the longest central span in the world. Explore the fascinating moments of the construction process, from the rise of the reinforced concrete towers to the installation of steel beams and the weaving of cable systems. The perfect engineering details and craftsmanship at every stage of construction ensure that the bridge harmonizes with the environment, becoming a natural part of the landscape. The visual spectacle complemented by the setting sun merges with the grandeur of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge under construction, offering an unforgettable experience.
