Eskikaraağaç Village, located in Karacabey on the edge of Lake Uluabat, 45 km away from the center of Bursa, was a village where predominantly Greeks lived until the population exchange period. Known for hosting storks, Eskikaraağaç is the only representative of European Stork Villages in Turkey. Storks arrive every year in March and stay in their nests here until September. Eskikaraağaç, which has a bird observation tower and a nature museum, also has the story of “Uncle Adam and Yaren Stork”, which is famous abroad.
