Blow Pipes are tools used by the glass blower to gather glass, expand the glass into a hollow form by blowing air into it, and turn the glass while shaping it. Most blowpipes are around 4-5 feet long, but they can be made in any size. Diameters for standard sized blowpipes range from 3/8” to 2”. Professional pipes generally include a head made of higher heat resistant stainless steel, a body that can be made of standard stainless steel or other steels (selected for various characteristics like strength, weight, price, corrosion resistance, and grip), a mouthpiece made of stainless steel or plastic, rubber or knurled grip, and hang collar.
