Lake Laut Tawar is located in the Gayo Highlands, Central Aceh Regency, Aceh. This lake is a tectovolcanic lake that was formed at the same time as the Semangko Fault. That is why Lake Laut Tawar stretches so wide, namely 5,472 hectares with a length of 17 km and a width of 3,219 km.
