Lake Ranino is located in the Vitebsk district of the Vitebsk region, about 12 km east of Vitebsk, about 0.3 km east of the village of Ranino and belongs to the basin of the river. Vymnyanka (left tributary of the Kasplya river), which flows out of the lake. A small stream flows into the south.
