Sosno is a lake in the Vitebsk district of the Vitebsk region. Belongs to the Luzhesyanka river basin. It is located 18 km north-west of Vitebsk. The villages of Dolzha and Shily are located nearby. The name of Lake Sosno is associated with the Finnish sose, soseen “swamp, mud”.
