Pine forests and alpine meadows. Alpine meadows are meadows that occur after the upper limit of the forest cover, usually in the higher parts of the mountains, and are also called alpine meadows. They usually start to appear after 2000 altitude. These are areas where the air temperature does not allow trees to grow.
